Gaining Life

I attend this group every wednesday night for women recovering from anorexia. In this group the leader always refers to leaning forward into the tough situations in life, instead of being passive and leaning away (being a victim/avoiding discomfort). She uses skiing as an example. If you lean forward while skiing your experience will go a lot more smoothly than if you lean back in your skis, where inevitably you will end up on your ass. I challenge you to apply this concept in your daily struggles, whether they be eating disorder symptom related or just regular life challenges.
